"You have everything you need to create the life you want."

Do you struggle with feelings of being out of control or feeling lost? Maybe you haven’t felt like yourself in a while or are still trying to figure out who you are.

In our work together, we will build new skills to help you manage depression and anxiety, engage in actions that align with your values, and hold space for the present moment. Therapy is a unique and personal process so we will work together to determine what goals will be best for you and which skills can help you achieve those goals. In our sessions together you will develop skills to help navigate life, shift perspectives, and live more authentically.

    Meet Braxton Stage, MHC-LP,
    Mental Health Counselor

I am a trans psychotherapist in the state of New York who works with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community exploring their identities, young adults adjusting to the independence of adulthood and people dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, identity, life transitions, and more.

My approach to therapy is described as warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I’m passionate about helping people build connections, gain awareness, and live authentically. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and my hope is to help provide different perspectives and skills using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)

We’ll explore what is most important to you in working towards your authentic self. This will allow us to:

    • Work together to develop practical skills to help cope with life stressors
    • Explore parts of yourself so that you can live a life driven by authenticity
    • Explore and rebuild thought patterns to have more self-compassion and empowerment
    • Overcome fears and worries by living in the present while acknowledging the past

If this resonates with you, I encourage you to book a complimentary consult with me today.

Braxton Stage is a therapist in training under Lucas Saiter at Manhattan Therapy NYC, a partner of Clarity Health + Wellness.

Are you ready to grow and expand into the life you want?

The best part of the work for me is seeing the growth that is happening in our work together. It is amazing to see clients moving toward a place of self-compassion and new perspectives that allows them to live more authentically.

I believe the purpose of therapy is to provide a space for people to be able to work toward living in a way that aligns with their authentic self and their values. Therapy is a space for people to feel empowered, heard, and seen while working towards the goals that they want to achieve.

The first step I take in trying to achieve a new goal is to create awareness of what is currently happening and what needs to happen for this goal to be achieved. Creating awareness gives me time to appreciate the space that I was in and make space for what I am going to achieve.
