    I am a Multicultural and LGBTQ+ affirming psychotherapist, a health and wellness enthusiast, and a native New Yorker who works with people in NYC. I specialize in working with high-achieving entrepreneurs, businesspeople, creatives, technologists, and first-generation Asian-Americans who struggle with closeness and intimacy in their relationships, are stuck in patterns and behaviors that no longer serve them, overwhelmed by perfectionism and imposter syndrome, and feel frozen by grief and trauma.

    I facilitate a warm, collaborative, validating, and grounding space that will allow you to bravely and safely learn healthy ways of engaging in your relationships, improve your communication style, find meaning in your grief and trauma, free yourself from the shackles of your past, and open your mind to enriching and vibrant life experiences.

    My approach blends elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic therapy. 

    In therapy, together, we are time travelers on a quest to demystify the mysteries of your past and discover new perspectives in the present, so that you’re empowered to:

    • Gain clarity about who you are and what you want
    • Lean into closeness and intimacy, and improve communication and mutual support in your relationships
    • Liberate yourself from riddling imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and self-criticism
    • Find meaning in your grief
    • Release pain and suffering to heal, grow, and find relief from trauma
    • Shift into healthy patterns and behaviors that are aligned with your true self
    • End cycles of generational trauma

    Think back to the last time you were given a chance to try something new but decided not to. You were likely nervous and hesitant, perhaps you were afraid of being judged or ashamed if you made a mistake. It’s normal to experience some of those same feelings in your search for your therapist. You’re being presented with another chance to try something new. My hope for you is that you’ll take a leap of faith.

    If ever there was a place to be unprepared, it’s therapy. My hope for you is to arrive exactly as you are, because you are all you need for a space and time that is dedicated and personalized for you.

    Think of therapy as a personal trainer for your mind. Often, people think that there has to be “something wrong” to see a therapist, which simply isn’t the case.

    Just like with fitness that requires regular practice, therapy can help you gain the necessary skills to better maintain your emotional health. Therapy can help you identify and achieve your goals, align your values with your behaviors, and learn how to live more fully and authentically.

    Regardless of the reason, your decision to seek out therapy is a step in a positive direction. If you’ve never been to therapy before, my hope for you is that you continue to keep an open mind to what therapy can do for you. Being vulnerable and opening up to a stranger takes courage.

    My goal is to support you and make you feel at ease during this process. Our initial phone consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your concerns and determine a plan of action if we choose to move forward together.
