Meet Dr. Fanny Ng, Ph.D,
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals in New York City and throughout New York state. My specialties include the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I also help folks manage sleep disorders, chronic pain, cancer, and other health issues.

I practice from a feminist multicultural perspective that is LGBTQIA+ affirming. My work empowers my diverse clients to thrive in a complex society and uncover what matters to them most. I enjoy helping people regain their inner strength during difficult moments in their lives. Together, we’ll explore issues related to identity, race, culture, gender, work, and family.

  • Find effective strategies to manage and resolve overlapping problems

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices.

Therapy may not always be quick or easy but it can be transformative and healing. I enjoy working with my clients to invite hope and positivity into their lives when they feel stuck.

It brings me joy to support, encourage, and guide my clients towards lives of health and wellness. I’m always amazed at how even small changes in our lives can be meaningful and make a world of difference.

Therapy is a gift to yourself and an investment in your long term well-being. Problems from your past and present don’t have to decide your future. We’re often more creative, reflective, and effective when we work together.

I believe this is true of therapy as well. I ask folks who are on the fence whether it could be worth a try to add a therapist to their team to help them feel better.

I believe openness, respect, and humility are critical in building strong therapeutic relationships. Being in therapy can feel especially vulnerable, so I take great care to create a safe space where you can explore sensitive topics.

Our diversity enriches our lives but can also affect our present difficulties and responses to treatment. So I strive to look for ways to use our differences and similarities in therapy to strengthen our relationship and our work together.
