Online Group for Women Healing from Emotionally Unavailable Mothers

Stay tuned for our virtual group for women ready to heal and reconnect with themselves.

Reclaim Your Voice, Reconnect With Yourself

What happens when the person you relied on for comfort and guidance also left you doubting your feelings or questioning your worth?

Many women grow up with mothers who were emotionally unavailable, critical, or whose love felt conditional. These early dynamics can shape how you see yourself, connect with others, and navigate relationships well into adulthood, often leaving you feeling responsible for others’ emotions, doubting your instincts, or uneasy in close relationships.

Healing often begins with understanding, but it deepens through relationships that offer safety, empathy, and new experiences of being understood.

This 12-session online group for women healing from emotionally unavailable mothers offers a supportive space to explore these patterns and begin to transform them. Through reflection and connection with others who share similar experiences, you’ll learn to trust your perceptions, set boundaries that honor your needs, and take steps towards building a more secure sense of self.

Is This Group Right for You?

This group is for women who sense that early family experiences continue to shape their relationships and self-perception, and who want to understand and change those patterns in a supportive, therapeutic space.

This group may be a good fit if you’ve experienced:

      • A relationship with your mother that often felt confusing, critical, or emotionally draining

      • A tendency to doubt yourself or feel guilty for asserting your needs

      • Patterns of people-pleasing, overextending yourself emotionally, or having trouble setting boundaries

      • Intense emotional reactions to situations that seem minor or “shouldn’t” bother you

      • Ongoing self-criticism, anxiety, or moments of depressed mood

      • Difficulty making decisions or trusting your instincts

      • A desire to better understand how your past experiences continue to shape your present

For some women, these patterns stem from being raised by a narcissistic or highly self-focused mother—someone whose love and attention depended on performance, compliance, or emotional caretaking.

  • You don’t have to label your mother or your relationship to know it’s been painful or complicated. This group offers a place to make sense of it and move toward healing and strength on your own terms.

How This Online Group Helps Women Heal from Emotionally Unavailable Mothers

This group is designed for women who are already engaged in individual therapy or have previously done therapeutic work and are ready to deepen their insight into their emotional lives and relationship patterns.

It may be especially helpful if you:

    • Want to explore the lingering emotional impact of your relationship with your mother

    • Feel ready to challenge old beliefs that keep you small or self-critical

    • Wish to share space with other women who can offer genuine understanding, support, and validation.

    • Are curious about healthier, more balanced ways of relating—with yourself and others

This group may not be a fit if you’re currently in crisis, experiencing self-harming urges, or seeking intensive trauma processing.
