Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist who is passionate about guiding individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults—through life’s challenges with compassion and care. My areas of expertise include relationships, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the profound mind-body connection. In addition, I specialize in psychological evaluations to diagnose ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and other mental health concerns.
As a registered yoga teacher, I weave in mindfulness, yoga, and body work to help clients connect their mind and body. Using a tailored approach, I draw from a rich blend of therapeutic techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness practices.
I create a space that feels safe for you to reflect, heal, and rebuild. I do that through collaboration and prioritizing your comfort within our therapeutic relationship. My ultimate focus is that you arrive at a point where your life feels not only manageable but fulfilling. You will regain your power through healing the past and gaining skills to cope with your feelings, thoughts, and the unpredictability of life.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, relief, or personal growth, I’m here to walk beside you with empathy and support as we navigate your journey together. Hablo Español.
Diagnostic Assessments
In addition to therapy, I provide psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents (ages 3–18) who may be experiencing learning, developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges. These evaluations can help clarify concerns related to ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and other areas that may be impacting a child’s academic, emotional, or day-to-day functioning.
My assessment work also includes cognitive and IQ testing, evaluations for giftedness, psychoeducational assessments, academic achievement testing, adaptive functioning assessments, and evaluations required for school support services or OPWDD eligibility.
My approach to assessment is thoughtful, thorough, and collaborative. I aim to create a process that helps families gain a deeper understanding of their child’s strengths, learning style, and areas where additional support may be helpful.
When appropriate, I collaborate with caregivers and schools to ensure that the evaluation reflects a well-rounded picture of the child’s functioning across different settings. This can help families and educators make informed decisions about the supports, services, or accommodations that may be beneficial.
The evaluation process may include one or more assessment sessions depending on the needs of the child, with written reports typically provided within 2–4 weeks.
Even when things feel confusing or overwhelming, gaining clarity can be an important first step forward. If you’re wondering whether an evaluation might help your child better understand their strengths and challenges, I’d be glad to speak with you. Schedule a complimentary consultation to learn more about the assessment process and how I may be able to help.
