"Sometimes slowing down is the fastest way forward."

Are you the kind of person who always has it together on the outside? People see you as capable, reliable, and in control, but inside, you might feel stretched thin, anxious, second-guessing yourself, or wondering why your accomplishments haven’t led to the sense of satisfaction you expected.

Maybe you’re used to managing everything on your own, but lately you’ve been wondering whether it’s possible to feel less on edge, less depleted, and more grounded in your day-today. Therapy isn’t about endless analysis, it’s about making sure you’re moving forward in a way that feels intentional and fulfilling.

Meet Lauren Palumbo, LMHC,
Licensed Psychotherapist

I’m a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in high-achieving individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, relationship challenges, and the pressure to always perform.

I enjoy working with clients in fast-paced fields like tech, finance, and healthcare who are used to operating at a high level, managing constant demands, and being the one others rely on.

It’s not always easy to unplug, especially when your success depends on staying focused and productive. Still, you deserve more than just making it through the day. You deserve a rhythm that feels grounding, a sense of calm that lasts, and a way of moving through life that doesn’t cost you your peace.

Whether you’re exhausted from over-functioning, struggling to turn insight into real change, or just ready to stop overthinking and start feeling more like yourself, our work will gently shift the way you relate to your thoughts, emotions, and inner life. I draw from evidence-based, experiential, and psychodynamic approaches that help you feel more grounded and better equipped to navigate life from a place of steadiness, not survival.

Is This You?

  • I’m great at problem-solving for others but second-guess myself when it comes to my own decisions
  • I’m highly self-aware, but insight alone hasn’t helped me break out of certain patterns
  • I hold myself to high standards, but it’s hard to recognize and prioritize what I actually need
  • I tend to overthink rather than feel my emotions.

I know how hard it can be to carve out space when you’re the one everyone counts on. If you’re wondering what it might feel like to finally have that space for yourself, I’d love to connect. Reach out today for a free consultation and let’s explore how to create the kind of life that feels energizing, purposeful, and truly your own.

MY THERAPY STYLE

It’s natural to feel hesitant about opening up to someone new. Therapy doesn’t have to be overwhelming or intimidating. It’s really about giving yourself space to explore what’s on your mind, at your own pace, with someone who’s there to support you without judgment.

Even if you’re not entirely sure what you want to get out of therapy, a consultation can be a safe and supportive space to start exploring that. Keeping an open mind and giving yourself the chance to see if it feels like a good fit is a meaningful first step.

Our minds and bodies instinctively protect us from feelings that feel painful or overwhelming, so we find ways to cope, like pushing them down or distracting ourselves. These habits can give us enough space to get through tough times. However in the long term, avoiding emotions can cause them to intensify, showing up as anxiety, depression, stress, or in patterns that keep us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others.

Emotions are powerful guides, directing us towards parts of our lives that may need attention or care. In our work together, we’ll explore these feelings and their origins so they become less overwhelming and more like signals you can tune into, understand, and grow from.

I enjoy working with clients who bring a natural curiosity about themselves and are willing to explore their internal world. It’s tempting to focus on how things outside of our control contribute to our problems, and life can certainly throw its share of unexpected hurdles. But staying focused on what’s beyond our control for too long can leave you feeling powerless, making it harder to recognize opportunities for healing and growth. The real magic happens when you consistently invest in understanding yourself and creating meaningful change from within.
