“Every person has the ability to heal, make connections, and deserves healthy relationships.”

Is anxiety, depression, or anger holding you from enjoying your life? Are having a hard time finding motivation after a breakup or losing a loved one?

Are you struggling with your relationships, feelings of guilt, or ruminating on past negative experiences that are triggering you to overreact? Maybe you are having a hard time adjusting to life in NYC or blending into a multicultural family.

My goal is to help you explore what’s been holding you back from living a more fulfilled life and cultivating healthy relationships.

I will help you process painful experiences in a safe space, and discover your strengths. We will collaborate to find unhealthy patterns, and cognitions weighing you down when you try to establish healthy boundaries, and ways of communicating your needs in your professional and personal life.

Meet Salima Ndoye, LMFT,

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with people in New York City and throughout NY state. My style is interactive, engaging, and I work collaboratively with you to promote the growth and change you desire.

I take an integrative approach of various psychotherapeutic methodologies in my work, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), solution-focused, and hope-focused therapy with my clients.

My priority is that the work be tailored, depending on what works with your beliefs, values and needs. As a result of my experience, I’ll help you:

  • Find relief from symptoms of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem
  • Improve your relationships, communication, and boundaries with others
  • Work through concerns unique to multicultural individuals and families
  • Live more authentically, aligned with who you truly are
  • Learn how to successfully manage stress and adjustment to life’s ups and downs

I welcome your desire for growth and getting closer to the person you want to be by enhancing the quality of your relationships with yourself and others. I look forward to meeting you. Please don’t hesitate to book a complimentary consultation with me today.

I am bilingual and offer therapy in French, my native language.

Are you ready to grow and expand into the life you want?

It starts with a good therapeutic relationship between client and therapist. There is a decrease in initial symptoms and progress towards goals, especially when I see that spark of hope and peace on the client’s face.

With my work, you can expect a nonjudgmental space, to process thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. While making sure clients feel fully seen and accepted, I will gently challenge, and help them expand their perspectives, in order to facilitate growth and change.

Exploring past experiences and boundaries with others, can help clients become more aware of the obstacles that prevent them from leading more satisfying lives and improving their relationships. Together we will explore concrete coping skills.

It is totally normal to be hesitant about therapy, most people have a natural fear of the unknown, especially if you never had therapy before. It takes energy and courage to share your feelings and thoughts to someone you’ve just met. Although it may feel uncomfortable at first, I want you to know that you are in control of what happens and you can build trust at your own pace.
